Children's Self Defense Program
We are committed to your safety, as our reconfigured children's self defense program provides appropriate and effective options in difficult situations…
This is a direction we are really excited about. Often times, kids are left with few choices as to when to use their karate, especially when it mostly involves strikes to the face, kicks, elbows, knees, etc. Many situations call for less drastic measures and would draw much less attention from teachers and parents if kids were provided with specific self defense maneuvers which simply help from being pushed, shoved and grabbed. Also, we are including within this array of techniques some basic ground skills. Kids are learning things like "control positions" whereby, when both individuals are on the ground, one gains a superior position as a means of control. Conceivably, a would-be attacker will struggle to get out of these positions to no avail. They will become tired and just want to get out of there! We know this added training will become a valuable asset to all students as they gain some expertise and confidence in positions/situations that usually are worst case scenarios.
